Dear NASC members,
We want to let you know how we plan to celebrate World Patient Safety Day this year at ESAIC.
From September 12 till September 19, we will dedicate communication activities and vehicles to raising awareness about Patient Safety. The scope of the campaign is to leverage the World Patient Safety Day – also celebrated by WHO, to raise awareness of the issues related to patient safety, where ESAIC has been playing a significant role for many years now.
A few members of the Patient Safety Committee are appointed Key Opinion Leaders(KOLs) for this promotion. These are:
- Daniel Arnal
- David Whitaker
- Jannicke Mellin-Olsen
- Benedickt Preckel
At the same time and on this occasion, we are planning a few advocacy activities on our end to coincide with the Advanced Patient Safety Course taking place from 19 & to 20 September – one of the many activities ESAIC is dedicating to improving patient safety.
We are preparing a Press Release which will be distributed to the media on this occasion. In addition, our social media channels will be populated with infographics, calls for action, opinions from advocates of Patient Safety, news articles written by our KOLs and Patient Safety advocates, and many more.
With Patient Safety being one of the key pillars at the ESAIC and part of the Vision and Mission of the Society, we invite you as well to be advocates and raise awareness about Patient Safety issues and show that ESAIC is invested in it and committed to continue contributing to improving Patient Safety in perioperative care.
Should you decide to be part of this awareness campaign, please visit this LINK and attend us on social media and do not hesitate to use any of the collaterals our team has prepared for the campaign.
Thank you all in advance for your contribution and kind support of this initiative.
On behalf of the ESAIC team and Board of Directors.
